Lexica joined the Social Value movement as an organisational member of Social Value UK in 2022, and since then, two of our employees have achieved <a href="https://www.lexica.co.uk/articles/lexica-consultant-achieves-level-1-social-value-associate-status" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Level 1 Associate Practitioner status</a>. The Social Value Management Certificate provides an opportunity to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to embedding Social Value principles in our policies and practices.
We are committed to achieving social and environmental progress, whilst ensuring the success of our organisation and the organisations we serve. We do this as an SME in our own right, in undertaking the work for our clients, and in supporting clients to demonstrate how their projects and initiatives will deliver value.
There are recognised challenges for professional services firms in delivering whole scale social value from short-term advisory mandates, where opportunities to employ locally or engage SMEs are extremely limited. Social Value impact often comes from local employment opportunities and so the principle of utilising shorter-term professional advisory on an “as needed” basis frustrates the ability to offer additionality locally. 
Therefore, Lexica always seeks to maximise how we can support our clients with a lasting additionality legacy in what we deliver, as opposed to how we deliver. We are seeking to better convey the social value outcomes we can unlock or support.
