John Kelly’s career in healthcare planning began with research posts at London University and the Medical Architecture Research Unit (MARU), where he became Deputy Director and helped to pioneer the earliest initiatives in evidence-based design in the UK. John was a founding director of RKW, the UK’s first specialist healthcare strategy consultancy and a partner and Head of Healthcare Planning at EC Harris.
John’s core skills include Health & Social Policy, Strategy and planning, future-thinking, workshops and stakeholder facilitation and post-project evaluation.
John has led stakeholder groups in the UK and abroad including a major stakeholder engagement exercise for the planning and design of Ireland’s new national children's hospital in 2007. John’s current projects include 3 new hospitals in Greece and strategic planning for Norfolk & Norwich NHS Trust. John’s experience includes post-project evaluation, whole system service and estates reviews and leading healthcare planning teams on major healthcare projects in the UK and overseas.
